I am grateful for your kind words

Emily was amazing to work with. From the beginning she was responsive and easy to work with.  She met with us prior to the event to make sure she knew what we were looking for and the day of the event, she exceeded our expectations!  She had great ideas for poses and locations at the courthouse and we couldn't be happier with our photos.

We made the perfect choice when we selected Emily Hart-Roberts to photograph our wedding and reception.  We appreciated her flexibility and how she charged by the hour rather than only offering certain packages.  The second we met her we loved her warm and down-to-earth style.  When she first met with us she made sure to come at about the time of day as the wedding to assess the lighting.  She quickly came up with some ideas about angles to photograph from, including the idea of taking photos from above the scene from our upstairs balcony.
During the events, Emily's skill and expertise were matched by her warm and engaging approach.  She easily connected with us and our family and guests, capturing many memorable moments both candid and posed.
We are forever grateful for Emily's suggestion that we have a "first look" between bride and groom in our wedding attire.  This was carried out and photographed so sweetly..."a pre ceremony ceremony" that was witnessed by our closest family and friends.  We were then able to have portraits taken before the ceremony while we were still fresh.
We were  so impressed with Emily's talent and artistic eye.  She utilized various features of the ceremony and reception spaces in fun and creative ways.  The resulting photographs are beyond what we had hoped for.  We now have an abundance of beautiful photographs that allow us to relive that amazing day...the details, the emotions, the people surrounding us and the very essence that made it ours.

I am so glad I made the right choice with Emily. I hired her from across the Globe after a trusted recommendation for my small intimate wedding in Santa Barbara. I was nervous as I had never met her before but after a zoom call I felt completely at ease after I realized the extent of Emily's experience (20+ years) and talent.
She made me feel like I didn't have to worry about anything...this is what I wanted and I didn't have to. Emily took care of it all and knew what she was doing. Her style is personal and very high quality compared to other photographers I was considering.
Emily managed to get fantastic shots from everywhere and was so discreet – her attention to detail is outstanding (I love you got the wine coolers and the guitarist!). These beautiful photos absolutely captured the most heartfelt and happy moments of our lives.  We have no idea how we will pick our favorites for an album, though we definitely have one or two that we cannot wait to have framed and in our home.

We hired Emily to take the photographs for our wedding. It was the second wedding for both of us, and we were blending our families together into one. Tom and I each had two kids. I must say, Emily captured our day perfectly. A wedding for a blended family is different than a wedding for two young people in love and it being all about them. There can be a lot of complicated things going on. For some kids, the second marriage of their parent is an ending, rather than a beginning, an ending of the idea that they parents will reconcile. Children also are usually not at their parent’s wedding, so the whole blended wedding thing can be awkward. For us, Emily balanced everything that day. She focused on each of us, trying to create trust. She succeeded. She caught extremely special moments while, at the same time, not making anyone feel out of place or excluded. Afterwards, she created a book of images that told a story. It was so personalized and meaningful. She had captured both the big and the little of our day. She titled it, “And then there were six.” It was very special and, although asked us to change out any photo or layout we wanted, we didn’t change a thing. It was perfect.
